Living like Jesus at home

S: 12So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience

13 bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you.

14 Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity.
Colossians 3:12-14 (NASB)

O: This scripture does not say to put on these things when you leave home in the morning, and take them off when you get back home. We are to live like Christ(be Christians) 100 percent of the time.

A: Most people can be kind to others outside of their home, but how you live everyday at home shows your true character.

P: Lord, let others see you in me in all my dealings, but most of all my spouse and children. Let those of my household be the first to say that the Fruit of the Spirit
is evident in my life. Let me be kind, compassionate, gentle, humble, understanding,
patient, and filled with joy.

S - For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing
as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marow, and able to judge the
thoughts and intentions of the heart. Heb. 4:12 (NASB)

O - Growing up hearing this scripture quoted hundreds (maybe more) of times, it became just
words. It is more than just words. The word of God is alive, and separates what is of Him,
and what is not. He judges motives.

A - In studying God's Word I need to embrace His pruning, and be thankful for it.

P - Lord, help me to delve deeper in You, and Your Word, and to grow.
